Welcome!

Hey there! I figured the best way to start this blog is to introduce myself. I’m Natalie. I’m originally from Michigan, (HEY MIDWEST FRIENDS!) but have lived on Oahu, Hawaii for 4.5 years. We are a military family and have lived in Florida, Texas, Arizona, Florida again, and Hawaii. My husband and I have been married for 8 years, and we have 4 beautiful kiddos. Luca is 6, Chase is 5, Liam is 3, and Summer is 8 months old. I have been told that I have the patience of a saint. I’ve always loved working with kids. It is my jam.

In my former life, I was a workaholic and chained to a desk. Not literally, but it sure felt like it. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University in 2010. I attended law school shortly before our family was swept away to Arizona by the Air Force. I worked at the Eastern District of Michigan Federal Defender Office in Detroit, volunteered at the State Appellate Defender Office, and worked as a nanny part time. I was used to always being on the go. Motherhood changed everything.

I know it may come off cheesy, but I really believe I was made to be mother. Having children changed everything for me. I think that’s why as a photographer, I love photographing families and children so much. I know how to get those loud belly laughs out of your stubborn 3 year old. I know that universally ALL children will laugh at poop or fart jokes. I know how to lead your child into the right position to snuggle and love on you to capture the little moments that you want to remember once they are no longer chunky legged toddlers. As a mother, I know those moments that you want to remember, and as a photographer, I can capture them for you.

Thank you for choosing me. I can’t wait to get to know you and your family.

Until next time,
Natalie
